Important meetings coming up that are vital to High Point High School and the new North County HS. All are welcome. Please attend and voice your opinions and concerns. High Point HS is the ONLY high school in the county that has not been renovated OR rebuilt. The time is now. Please share with all you can and let's decide how this is going to happen. This affects you, your community and your business. Final Vote scheduled to happen on Thursday.

GBBA’s immediate focus is to continue to raise awareness of the problems plaguing our schools. Overcrowding and antiquated buildings remain an issue with High Point HS in Beltsville and northern Prince George's County. Our students should be able to complete their required and elective classes during normal school hours and not be squeezed into overcrowded rooms. A stable environment is necessary to a quality education and provides constant support for students and their families. High Point High School needs rebuilding and North County High School needs to be built.    We would like to ask everyone to please attend the Prince George's County Board of Education meeting on February 21st in Upper Marlboro. The current plan is to build North County HS in Adelphi and then rebuild High Point HS in 2025. GBBA supports the plan and we need your voices to make this happen. Remember, many people have chosen not to live in our community because of the problems with the schools. This not only affects the students, but also the community and local businesses. The final vote is scheduled to take place at the meeting  on February 21st at 6:30 at 14201 School Lane Upper Marlboro, MD 20772. We need everyone there or, once again, a new high school and the rebuilding of HPHS will fall by the wayside.  We look forward to seeing you there and making sure our voices are heard so that our children have access to high-quality education. Please share this information.

Carpools are available. Please contact Craig Cooper at 301-343-5584 or Karen Coakley at 301-741-7672 for additional information.
